How Deep?

I'm considering building an indoor pond. Its going to be about 44"x68". That is what i have to work with. Question is how deep should my water level be? Of coarse that will also detemine my volume and I can make it deep as I need but I don't want depth to inpeed in my viewing of my rays. What should my happy medium be?

however deep you want it. 1 2 or 3 feet. 2 is good. your pond is only gonna be a foot longer than wide???

I dont think those dimensions are big enough for rays above 12" disk size. But I would say as deep as you want, I think even 6in would be deep enough for a ray.

I think rays like to climb the walls of their enclousure, so I'd say at least 2-3ft deep.

not much experience with ponds, but 2 feet looks deep enough for a big tank......

hope to see it once the pond is completed....

My indoor pond is 48" x 72" x 12" it works great.
