How difficult is it to find short body polypterus?

How difficult is it to find short body polypterus? Are they just as healthy as normal Polypterus? What the most commonly found short bodied species?

I've read that it's a spinal deformation.. I don't think it's healthy. I could be wrong though, as I'm not sure.

Its pretty common in singapore they aren't as healthy as normal polypterus and premature deaths are pretty common, mine is pretty hardy though
I think the most common would be short body albino senegal

That rules that out. I was looking for something State side and reasonably priced which I see is out. Thanks for the info.
