how difficult to convert to pellets - african butterfly fish

hi,
how difficult is it to convert african butterfly fish to floating pellets? petshop currently has them on live
also, heard they dont like current, will they be ok with 500gph-rated pump on a 75 gallon? spray bar is below water line so current's not that strong (imo).
will they roam perimeter of the tank or just stay still in 1 place?

My Buddy's had one for a while now, they seem to like to claim their own little zone and rarely leave it. Me and him have been trying to figure this out too, we've been crushing up floating carni sticks and powdering the crickets so he gets used to the flavor. He used to just ignore pellets now he will eat smaller chunks of the floaters.
