i saw some really cute albino kribs in petco they weren't even 1 inch yet and one had a orange line on on the top of its dorsal fin and a long fin extension too i think that is a boy but im not sure so if you could help me i have no pics. and the other 2 didn't have fin extensions but did still have a orange line on the top of its dorsal fin is that a female?

and on a 1 to 10 basis how easy are they to breed

from 1-10 probably 1 these are really easy to breed. Females will have a bright purple/pink belly when they are mature, males may have purple/pink bellys also, but not near the intensity. I would keep them as a pair though to keep the aggression twords conspecifics down. just make sure you've got a male and female. At 1 in. they have quite a bit of growing to do yet. my females started to breed at about 2 in. and my males were a little bigger.

at petco they where just labeled albino krib cichlid and what do you mean split them up like the parents from the fry or the males from the females and i would be getting 2 kribs the one with the long fins and one of the ones with the shorter fins are they good for beginner cichlid keepers

split the fry up albinos from regulars. you probably won't wanna keep the fry in w/ the parents for too long or they'll become lunch. if i remember correctly, i kept the fry w/ parents for like a week or two. these are perfect for beginners because they are interesting, colorful, breed readily, and can be kept in a fairly small tank. I've bred them in as little as ten gallons but would recomend a 20-29g.
