Going fishing in about an hour and NEED TO KNOW how to bring natives back!!! I mean, what to put them in on the drive home. Also, do small green sunfish eat other fish in aquaria?

Green sunnies, like most fish, will eat smaller fish that can fit in their mouths such as guppies.

To transport, just get a bucket or other container of suitable size. I often use a smaller cooler. If you are concerned about leaking/splashing water, you could put a bag such as a trash bag in the container and tie if off at the top. Most important, you need an aerator to actively replenish the DO in the water or the fish will not survive long. If it is a short trip from your fishing spot to your house, hydrogen peroxide can get you by in a pinch but it will also be more stressful. Good luck and happy fishing

I used a 5g bucket and a battery powered air pump (for filling up water toys) to transport mine 2.5 hours.

I've used a 5 gallon bucket and an air pump as well. If you are concern you could try adding a little stress coat. I found that to help when I was trying more fragile fish.

The 5 gallon bucket and the battery operated air pump you can find in the fishing section! Hydrogen Peroxide can be used in emergency. I know it doesn't implies to you in particular and at this time of year but ice can help on hot days. For transporting bagged fish I prefer a cooler with a bucket for unexpected emergencies. Stress coat should also be an essential when transporting fish as well as a thermometer. Wouldn't hurt to have a water test kit either! Just my 50 cents on it LOL!

Dicks and bass pro already have the pumps with the buckets, like 15$ pretty sweet.

Walmart has that too. I use it a lot. But when I get back to the car I switch to a regular pump with power inverter since it puts out more air.

I wanna switch to one of these http://www.memphisnet.net/product/2449/aerators_livewell_misc

Operates on either 6v or 12v battery, and you can also get an AC adapter to run it on wall or power inverter to save battery life. http://www.memphisnet.net/product/2325/aerators_livewell_misc

DIY oxygenator can be made from putting a hole in a plastic bottlecap, running airline tubing through it and siliconing in, add a small piece of lead and hydrogen peroxide to the bottle. Close the bottle and put an air diffueser on the other end of tubing....my buddy uses this for baitfish all the time

Thanks guyss:) i caught 3 12 inch trout and 2 smaller perch in only 3 hours:) i released all of em though... Im just gonna keep trying and bring back something a little smaller for a 75 gallon:)

I dunno where you're at, but if you're catching trout there's a good chance there are sculpin in that area too. If you do some netting you could probably get some. If you see fish that have kind of a wide head with fan-like pectoral fins darting around the bottom they're probably sculpin.
