how/is there a way to clean new plants when i buy them to make sure they dont have any disease.?

so far i have just rinsed them in warm salt water. just wondering if there is something better i could be doing?

I do a 1 part bleach to 20 parts water ratio. Soak for around 15, more or less depending on how thick and hardy plant is, for example anubias can take a beating. Then rinse until you can't smell bleach.

+1, that or if you live in an area where the tap water is already heavily chlorinated, like FL for example, you can just rinse them really well in the tap for several minutes.
