How do I cut my acrylic top?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just cut my tank with a reg jig saw. probably wore out my blade but it did the job.

just a core cutter/hole saw bit for a drill, acrylic is pretty easy to cut

I just had to hog out the overflows on my new growout tank. They were 1 inch, now they are 2 inch.

Made a circle out of holes with a small drill bit, then connected the dots with a jiggy. Carbide tipped burr in a die grinder for finishing touches.

It helps to keep a stream of water on the cuts, so the waste plastic will wash away instead of fusing back to the piece or to your saw.
