What kind of light would i have to get to make my acei glow like this? Or how do i get them to look close to that, mine have a black base and a small blue glow but in the pet store they had a grey base and bright blue glow...

So a lot of it is the lights. You need the type that is much stronger in the blues. (IE VHO actinic.) Then looking at the photo, they did a lot of color editing...

Well what lights do you have now? You can first try buying better bulbs for your current setup... IE just get lights that are stronger in the blue range... (Not the plant lights.)
Also I don't know what size tank you have, since the only vho lights I have is for my 250... And it would be a huge overkill for anything smaller than a 6 foot tank. Though petstores might use that type since they can buy the power supply and then light up about 24 ft worth of tanks without spending much more.

I just got an acei las night and it looked similar to the picture when it was in the store. Now that he is in my tank he looks black with yellow fins. My lighting is is 2 t5ho bulbs on a 75g, 10,000k/460nm. Did he change color due to stress or something of is it my lighting?
