How do i get rid of black algae in my tank need help?

How do i get rid of black hair algae on live rocks?I hope any members can give me some tiips thanks?I just help a friend clean his neglected marine tank running on sump filter system is 4 ft x 2 x 2 change 100% of the old seawater brush & wash live rock,sand & glass tank full of black algae with old seawater . Replace all filter cotton but media remain untouch.
Top up with sera marine mix chemical sea salt next day add some damsel fishes all are ok but 3 days later black hair algae started growing on stones again .Hope someone can advice me on how to control black hair algae from growing on stones & glass tank.

i'm sorry i cannot help you,
but i'd like to second your question i had the same problem in my friends aquarium... what is marine black algae? what does it thrive on? and how do you remove it??
makes the tank look like a graveyard,

please someone knowledgeable on different algae help.
