How do I knoe if he eats?

I jus got a retic and he'd been in my tank for about 2 days and I haven seen him eat I have dropped frozen blood worms in the tank but haven seen him go for any? My lmb eats like crazy and I hope he's not eating all of the worms... Will he eat the tiny worms that fell to the floor or how do I knoe if he ate?

I got to watch some eat and their gill openings flap really fast and I noticed they ball up while on top of food.

Also the two lumps between the tail bone from when full

I mean like if there are few pieces of worms on the floor will he pass over it and eat it or will he wait for a bigger piece?

If it moves over it and then when it moves again and the food is not there anymore I would say it's safe to assume it ate it.
