Hey Guys i got a 6ft tank with an external canister filter and i was wondering how i could lower my ph. I have done 3 water changes in 2 week. I have also used like half the container of ph down from my ph testing kit

why are you lowering it? Sometimes its easier to acclimate the fish to your tap waters ph to make it easier at water changes. Also what do you have in the tank ? As in substrate decor , media in the canister filter? These things can alter the ph also.

You're going to make your fish sick adding chemicals (that's an acid you're using) to lower pH. All they do is temporarily lower the pH reading but don't change the kh. KH is the real indicator of hard or soft water. 99% of fish do fine in whatever water you've got. Leave it be.

Natural way of lowering ph is using of catappa leaves(indian almond leaves),oak leaves and beech leaves.Using peat moss also lowers ph.Use lots of driftwoods.
Lowering ph doesn't harm fish.Using chemicals to lower ph do harm them.

Test your KH first. I'd be wary of Acidifiers can cause a pH crash. I'd go with either an RO/DI system and mix tap or use recon this is pricey or just let your fish adjust to local water. Most liekly your local fish dealer is using the same water.
