I have 7 convicts, an oscar, a parrot, and 2 jack dempseys in 125 gallon tank. I don't have a CO2 injection system. Would my java fern benefit from nutrients like Seachem Fluorish or would it be better to add Fluorish Excel or API CO2 Booster. I have low-mid LED lighting and I keep it on for 7 hours a day.

give it chance.

I have tied some with one leaf and in a month it's got 7-8 full leaves, others still have good roots and one single big leaf but haven't grown any more in a couple of months. I find with java its the root growth to watch, once its sorted its roots out and got a good base it will start throwing leaves up. then its a case of trimming and training. always cut stray sections with a leaf and just push them in to the main plant it will soon take off into a bushy plant.

they dont need lots to grow, i put a bit of liquid fert in my planted tanks each week but due to the fish in there they dont need it. mine are all low tech tanks, some dont even have artificial lights.

I didn't notice the growth on my Christmas moss until about a month in, once it gets established it'll start taking off. The more ferts/c02 the better.

Do you guys recommend API CO2 Booster?
CO2 liquid booster might harm or become toxic for some plants and cause them melt down, use it at your own risk :) I don't use liquid co2, if i want co2 for my tank I'm rather just setup a cheap mini co2 system to help out my plants...beware once you're set your foot in CO2 plants world there is no turning back :)
