Ive had this guy for like a week and he doesnt really eat much... my other senegals will eat anything i throw in but this guy seems to make a friendship with worms n stuff... how do i make him hungry?

i'm not sure you can make a fish hungry if it doesn't wanna eat...maybe it just needs more time to settle in, since you've only had it for a week. other than that, you can try feeding at night with all the lights off, or just keep trying different types of food until you find its favorite.
i noticed my ornate eats the least, but still grows a significant amount. sooner or later, he'll come around. ive had mine for over 3 months now and it still barely eats.
i started it on bloodworms but it wud take forever to get a good mouthful cuz his hunting skills werent there yet. Then i tried some beefheart but he doesnt eat what doesnt move yet. so then i found a couple smaller rainworms in my worm bucket n cut them in half... he gobbled them up... but he doesnt eat very often a worm once every 2 days or so...
Dont feed it..check the tnkmates it might be getting bullied..Ornate's are one of the shyest bichirs, they are easily spooked..
