How do I make the sound go away?

So, I was trying to make a video of one of my tanks, the thing is I need it to not have sound. I went into "tools" on the camera and get to the sound I turned it to off and at the top it says "mute". So I take it in the room and shot the tank, loaded the videos onto my computer, and preview. THERE IS SOUND! How do I make it go away????

I tend to resize my videos when I am making them to post online. Then it is easy to just remove the sound, or put sounds you want with the video. (Windows Movie Maker can do this easily.)

I'm trying to make a video with Windows Movie Maker.

It is on Windows Movie Maker, I went into the edit thing there, but the only volume control I find is for the "movie" you are making, I want to add music to it and when I turn the volume down it takes the music volume with it. Am I missing something???

How would I remove the sound on there???

The camera is a Cannon Quick Shot A550.

OMG....I think I figured something out!!! YES...now I have to see if it works for the entire clip!!!

VirtualDub/Windows Movie Maker can do it.

Well, I got it done...went to upload it to youtube so I can add it...and it say's I need to change the file type or format or something like that!!! GAH, I have no idea how to do that.....anyone know?

I gotta go to bed now...since it's 5:30am and I just finished, but I'll be back in the morning to see if ya's know what I mean.
