How do I propagate elodea?

I got some from my petstore but it's soo expensive :/ how exactly can I propagate them to keep a constant supply? Thanks

Cut them in half.

Other than that you just cut and place the cutting.
The original stem will grow new top usually two.
Just keep repeating the process
