How do I remove scratches from acrylic?

hey everyone I have a 29gal acrylic tank I want to sell but it has some scratches on it that kills my sell. how do I remove them?

sanding and buffing. prolly would want a pro to do it though as its real easy to f it up even more.

I have alot of experience in automotive paint restoration can I use the same techniques? wet sanding with extremely fine sand paper or steel wool followed by different grades of automotive paint polishes?

I own a tanning salon and we polish acrylics (the part you lay on) all the time. The brand we use is novus plastic polish. The results are out of this world. You will have to really clean the residue a few times to get it removed before someone can add fish.
