i dont know if it has anything to do with it but i always feed mine at the same time from the same place in the tank. at first he didnt want to know he would just stay away till lights out . when he started to comeout i would just add little bits of prown at a time. before i new it he would just come up and take it from me. i think its all about trust. it will happen in time. good luck

i started feedin mine with a planting stick with prawns and muscles and just slowly made him come further up the tank over time until he was near the top and then used my fingers! ive used this method on most of my fish and now they all hand feed good luck! but be patient as my aartc was one of the hardest to train to hand feed but was worth it in the end !!
