How do I tell the age of my Midas?

Previous owner told me he had him for 8 years. He doesn't look 8 years old to me. How old does he look to you?

Yea like mentioned before if the fish is 2 years old he's not gonna say it's 8 years old.

Other then that I am very bad at guessing cichlid ages. I only see it when a cichlid is very old and bulky and stuff. This one doesn't have that old look I agree with you about that.
