How do silver arros eat?

I was just wondering how do silver arrowanas chew and/or swallow their food? I don't see any teeth or anything. Do they just swallow the whole fishes down?

most of the time they chew their food, they have teeth, try to examine yours there are small teeth that are outside the mouth

I think they have a second set of modified gills that act like teeth too....I could be mistaken so dont quote me on that

Yeah I see mine kinda chewing the crickets a few times before she swallows.

arowana come from the family Osteoglossidae which mean bony tounge

all arowana including the pirarucu have a bony tounges which is used to crush their food maknig it easier to swallow
