how do u stop aggression in malawis

i have a 6Lx2.5Wx3H i have haps and peacocks and want to keep aggression low i have been told to keep males and keep a lot of cichlid to reduce aggression is this true? if so how many ?

i have
2 red empress males
2 red empress female
2 kadango males
2 electric blues
2 red dragon peacocks
1 white night
1dimidiochromis compressiceps
2 nimbochromis venustus male i have taken one male out because he fight with every fish in the thank

can any one help thanks
 
Both an all male tank and a heavily stocked tank are good pieces of advice. If you have females in there it leads to conflicts.

boys will be boys. just let them fight and add more decorations. you have enough fish in there so no one would be hurt.
 
they're gonna fight.I would try one of each type of male,as another way to go,and more hiding spots is always a good idea.venustus are usually nore peaceful so maybe you have a mean one,or maybe he wants to breed.
