I recently got a couple of 2" knifes. The LFS had them listed as regular clowns, but they have markings more similar to royals. I have had clown knifes before and have seen others (not as small as 2") & have never seen these types of markings. They markings r not vibrant or clearly dilineated but r still obvious. Just wondering what, if any, difference there is between the two types when they r this young? Cant get a good enough pic of them due to their size and the floating plants they like to hide in.
How do u tell a baby Royal from a baby Clown?

I don't think I have ever seen a 2" ck let alone a rck. I have one of each I'm growing out but they are around 3.5 to 4" long.
I know its not a great pic but you can see the markings I was talking about. They look more like wavy stripes than dots, but these are the youngest CKs/RCKs Ive ever seen.
