without using any medication from the lfs is there away to bring the ph down!!!!!

most drift wood will help lower the ph a lil bit... also you can add peat to your filter and that will also lower your ph....

^ agreed ^

Go with the methods suggested, I'd stay away from buffers... I think they pose too much of a danger with your fish.

buffers can cause pH swings and a higher consistent pH is better then a pH lowered by buffers which could have a nasty swing possibly killing your fish...

the peat moss dirt stuff lol you can get cheap at a garden centre, and drift wood from a pet store or online...

You could get driftwood from the lakes/oceans and boil it for about a week if you dont wanna spend any money. But lfs brought driftwood allows you mroe choice.

With opeat, you just out it into your filter and it lowers your pH. But be careful, low pH's cannot usually maintain a steady pH for long.
