I have a few tanks my 125 and 210 I got for free after months of saving up. Ive seen so many huge tanks up here and always wondering how . I want to hear your stories of how you get your monster tanks set up.

I guess ill go first my 55 I just saved for it then bought everything needed in one shot. My 125 n 210 I lucked out. I was outside on my porch smoking and my neighbor comes and asks for a hand throwing away some stuff and when I found out what it was I qiuckly jumped on it and toke both tanks and some extra stuff that he was throwing away .

I wouldn't really classify it as a monster but my 55 i got for AUD$250 second hand. Came with tank/lids, cabinet, hood with built in light (which I don't use- I prefer open top), a decent sized external canister filter and a few small things which I didn't end up using. They had a foot long pleco and a 4 inch clown loach which the guy couldn't get rid of. Traded them in at a local aquarium store for around $180 store credit, which I used to get the driftwood, plants and some of the fish for the new setup. Just bought Flourite, T5 lights and sand from various other places and eventually put it all together. I now have my eyes on a much larger 8x3x2 foot tank.... Now that will be interesting to transport.

My 210 is about that size it 6x2x28" thats was interesting move and the guys who gave only lives 3 doors down. Its gunna be more interesting moving all 3 this friday

i got my 500g from a guy in a 2nd story apartment. he bought the tank, finished it into the wall plumbed everything then the lightbulb went off and he realized he probably shouldnt have that full. 3 years later i bought it and he never got to fill it. BRILLIANT
