I got a used stealth heater and its covered in brown poopy sludge I tried soacking in hot water and scrubed the heck out of it with green scrubbie but no success. Does any body have suggestions remember they are plastic so hard chemicals are out
sorry for derailing your thread but I just want to know how stealths break, or if they don't... I unplug it when I do a waterchange anyway just to be on the safe side. But if its not submerged in water, would it break?
They should have a auto shut off safety switch but I would not risk it I always unplug every thing when doing water changes some people replace their heaters every couple years to prevent failure also
Its got an auto shutoff your alright I wouldnt bother unplug. I seldom lower my water below the heater I keep it hidden about 3" off the gravel behind some plants. Its supposed to be stealth right
