How do you clean your filter sock?

Hey Guys/Gals,

Just wondering how you guys clean your socks or do you just throw them away after changing? I currently soak the used socks in water until I get about 25 of them and then rinse and wash them in the washer with a little bit of bleach x 2.

Do you folks have a easier way to clean your filter socks?

Thanks for the quick response, if I can only sew now. LOL I guess I'll just have to check out what micron the felts they come in.

Hmmm! i wonder why they don't want you to use bleach when washing the sock.

don't use a sock for my freshwater...seems a bit overkill. but for saltwater, rinse it up to 3 times and then toss it

i know a guy a in houston who uses filter socks on 2x of his 210g petro tanks, and he just throws them in the washing machine with a cup of bleach and a cup of detergent.

works wonders for him with no ill effects.
