how do you compute for gallons?

how do you guys compute for gallons per cubic inch? and what are the basics..? for glass aquarium... i mean the thickness for the glass to hold the amount of water...? i want one custom made,,, =((

also you could do lxwxt divide by 231 so say you go 96long 36wide 24tall(make ture it is in inches) it would be 96x36=3456x24=82944 divide by 231 =359.06493 MAKE SURE YOU USE INCHES.

and if you want the depresing truth of actual gallonage use the inside dimensions

Muckieman and Dmopar74 have got it going. Just take the inside dimensions in inches, time them together and divide by 231. The answer is how many gallons is what your tanks hold.
