how do you cure wood

rinse it in boiling water and soak it in a container large enough to hold it until it sinks, done.

If I buy it from an LFS, typically I do nothing. Brown water never bothers me and I've never had an issue just dropping it in.

On the other hand, if I've collected the wood or rocks myself, I typically soak them in a hot bleach/water solution, rinse, then soak them in prime/water, then rinse again.

I agree think people get carried away with wood.

I have collected some and have just boiled it that was plenty.

However much of it after 2 years has still not sunk lol thats the problem

For some reason I thought the wood would absorb bleach and than hard to remove.

It depends on how porous the wood is. Either way, yes it will absorb the bleach to an extent. That's why it's important to soak it after with Prime.
