how do you cut glass?

I need to know how to cut glass so i can install a emergncy overflow so my first baffle in my sump can not flood.

Thanks that helps a lot. I would like to cut the glass in a circle ( If that is even possible) & I dont have a lot of room as the glass is acting as a baffle in my sump.

i think they have videos you can watch. as far as the space find an angle drill like plumbers use for cutting holes in floor joists. i got one with my Dewalt cordless tool kit.
