How do you decorate a tall tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I got a 7.99 set of grabber/cutters from petco that work decent on the lighter stuff. So far I have managed my 30" deep tank....how deep is your tank??

I saw a plant handling tool at Petsmart. Basically it's one of those extended squeeze/grip devices. That may help. With my 150, I simply slide a chair next to the tank and reach in. When reaching the back corners, my shoulder is usually just below the water line. I learned to do re-arrangements, etc. before I fill the tank back up during water changes.

I use a step ladder to get all the way into tall tanks. You can get them pretty cheap a lowes.

id love to get a stepladder, but it seems all of them in the world have a 200 lbs weight limit. Thus, i cannot safely use them... i feel fat now, despite not being so.

Sorry but I have to call BS on the 200 lbs limit. I am well over the 200 lb mark and use my step ladder on a regular with out any issues. I have this exact ladder. It has a 250 lbs capacity. I have not broken mine yet and feel the product is very safe even when standing on step 3. There are other step ladders with 250 and up weight capacity.

Just wanted to add I was not saying BS to you, but to the step ladder manufactures.
