i have been injecting into trout worms, but am curious as to when "enough" has been given...

i am only dosing for 1 retic

thanks

ive always followed the directions on the bottle. one time i did a double dose.

some people say to do a 4x dose.

im not sure how much to inject in worms. i was always scared to inject, for the possibility of an overdose...

since they are trout worms they dont hold much, but i have been getting about 1/2 mL(i think that is what the syringe says) into each worm. i have been giving 1 injected worm every other day. given 3 so far.

trying to figure out if i need to continue, or if that is enough.

i know that DB was using something like 8x the dosage, so i am pretty sure i am not not near the threashold of OD, but i suppose there is a chance

4x dose.... problem with injecting worms is when the ray bites the worms most of the prazi is released to the water colum... just easier better to dose the tank...

Agreed. Ok, I know I'm no vet, but I inject my rays with the prazi directly. I have had no problems to this date. The Prazi is pretty thick, so I mix it with saline solution 1 parts prazi to 10 parts saline solution in a very small cup to make it more liquid so you can draw it into the syringe. I usually inject about 7-8 ml for juvenile rays.
DO NOT try this if you have never done it before and don't know what you are doing. You could get stung or hurt your ray. But the best way to medicate is directly if you have a big system and would have to dose for 1000 gallons.
