I just pick up a 240 gallon acylic tank. No overflow, few hole on the bottom that I'm sealing it up. I want to drill a hole in the back of the tank to fit a buckhead and make that my overflow.

Anyone can advise me or direct me to the thread that can answer my question?

Wet/dry Diamond core drill bit.

For acrylic all you need is a standard hole saw for wood. Couldn't be any easier.:) I have even drilled additional holes in fully stocked running tanks. Just dropped the water level. Once you mark the center of the hole, start drilling from 1 side half way through, then finish from the other side.

What if I need to drill like a 1" to 1.5' hole to put a bulk head attachment..

That's exactly what i did. I put in a 1 3/4" hole for a 1" bulkhead.
