Just got a 125 gallon today, and I'm going old school on the filtration. I have 3 Quiet Flow filters up top, and a Little Giant pump on the bottom. How are you guys filtrating your bigger tanks? I'd really like to clean it up a little bit. Don't really like how sloppy the filters look. ...Not to mention how loud they are... Quiet Flow by butt.

sumps or wetdrys! or you can go with canister filters. either one will be good for your 125. my 130 has a 30 gal sump and a canister filter to suppliment it.
plumbing could be a bit confusing the first time but i plumbed my whole 130 within a day of buying all the supplies. if you go DIY it should be less than 200 dollars. my 30 gal sump costed me less than 150 dollars because i got most of the parts used from local mfk members.
Oooo...I'm not looking to spend that much money. Guess I'll have to stick with what I have for now.
well what is your budget? im sure you can get away with 100 dollars or less if you go completely DIY on the sump
Forget the budget for now. How many GPH do I need to be pumping for everything to be alright in the 125?
