I don't know how you all do it. I'm begging for Albino BN pleco's over here in Brittish Columbia, Canada and can't find them anywhere and I see photos of them all over this board. How can I go about tracking them down without paying hundreds in shipping???

I thought when I read the topic you ment finding it in your tank, lol. I was going to say well.. move everything out lol.

Anyways, couldnt you ask a lfs by you if they could try to get that type of pleco you want?

There are many ways. One way, is online shipping. Two, is LFS, which in the northwest US, are very common plecos. Three, come to the Washington MFK meet, and I can get you hooked up. I just got 10 of albino BN's today as a matter of a fact.

I have asked everyone on this Island and even on this side of the mainland. I've posted ads in the local classifieds and on every forum I could find. I'm trying to buy them without paying $50 in S and H. It seems almost impossible.

:( I live on Vancouver Island in BC... I'd LOVE to be there and meet everyone though:D

Well simply 1) order from online 2) ask your LFS to order some in for you. Any normal LFS will be able to get them in easily. Remember they don't always stock what is available to them...

$50 is what most of US pay for shipping in the US... maybe a little less... but what do you expect?
Good luck

yeah shipping for us is kind of high. Thats why you go to an online distributer, and alot have the if you pay so much on fish, shipping is free. I think just getting one little fish isnt worth it.

I know you live in vancouver, that's why I said come to the meet. It's a shorter drive for you then it is for me. :D

Thanks to everyone for the help and ideas. I had only shipped fish once before from the same province. So I hadn't realized how much it was to ship. WOW. I'm learning :D I've only ever bought locally. I still have to master the art of shopping online. I'm an old fashioned store shopper. AGain... I'm learning:D
Thanks again
