How do you get these weird fish pictures?

Those are photochopped hardcore, but if the fish is in a white "tank" you can achieve it.

photoshop. I did it recently with one of my plecos...

That's really cool, I wish I could do that. But you need to pay for photoshop, right?
So I can add to my collection of "weird pictured fish". It's a gallery, hehe.

You could try the program GIMP, it's a free photo editor. I use photoshop 7, it's the first one I used and most comfortable with. What I do is create 2 layers, the top layer is the picture, the background layer is just that, the background, activate the background layer, and just color it a solid color of your choice, I use black, and just paint all over the picture, since the fish is the top layer it won't be affected by the coloring. If you want to just do one layer you can mask the fish so that while coloring the rest of the picture in, the fish won't be affected by the paintbrush tool. Hope this made sense for you, I suck at explaining :grinno:

ya but it doesn't look as good as a photoshopped pic.

you can do it, but i'm not certain how with a free program called pain.net

i think you have to do something with the different layers and and drawing an outline freehand or i guess "free mouse" and it takes a while.

IMO I've never seen a fish with a photoshopped white background look good. the lighting is way off and it looks fake usually.
