ok, i see alot of ca/sa tanks that have a bit of everything in them. how do you guys do this without aggresion? do you grow them from juve stage and raise them together? im kinda torn right now and missin my devil pair and thinking about doing it again, i just bought a FH and the personality is already there. i guess thats what im missing.

so far in my 220 is a 22" aro, 2 tins and 2 hooks, also a 5 or 6" tiretrack and the flowerhorn.

i guess my question is how do you guys do the crazy pred tanks?

I usually do like the above poster. Try to do my research and then just try it out. I usually give it a week or so. The first couple of days are usually pretty rough with everyone reestablishing dominance hierachy. If it hasn't settled down after a week or so, I do something different. So far, knock on wood, I haven't had any issues they didn't resolve themselves with minor damage. I have midas, gt, cuban, fh, aro, jd, paratilapia, frontosa, carpintis, cons, SD, raphael cats, common pleco, syn cats, a creni. venezuala, creni. marmorata, creni. bellycrawler, and a group of clown loaches all in a 450. The midas and male fh are top dogs and each stay to their own side of the tank. Everyone else just gets along.

Starting them out as juvies helps alot, some say numbers spread out the aggression,..i'll probably hear it for this but,
you never know till' you try,..

I recently found out that 4 ca/sa cichlids at 3.5''s was too much for a 90gal,..an now i know:)

numbers help i was going to do 5 or 6 large c/a's in a 125 to spread out aggresion and see what happens
