How do you guys approach your aro?

I got my silver as a juvi and its 6 inches now. I didnt have any troubles when doing water changes and tank cleaning, but it always scared when I and handling the tank.

Previously on my last 2 water changes, it got seriously scared and jump knocking into the filter and yes... It developed DE. RAWR T__________T

But I still love my silver regardless... Now it has DE on the right eye and swims sideways "maybe" cause of 1 side DE. Otherwise its ok...

Today I change water again and it got frightened again. Swam furiously and knocked off some scales =="

I took notice not to do big or sudden actions when changing water and not make any loud noises. But its always super scared when I put my hand in, shouldnt it be used to me by now? Not only during water changes, but when I come near the tank it seems scared too... I am not that scary T______T

All I can add from my experience with my jardini is stay away from brightlly colored clothes.

i had this same problem when raising my silver. only till he was 16-18 inchs or so, he wasnt scared. and now that he's in a bigger tank he doesnt get scared at all. before he would get all torn up but now all he does is just chill. lol

he/she should calm down when larger as for drop eye one of those things with silvers
