Just curious. These indoor ponds look like a very creative alternative to expensive aquaria, but none of them have hoods. Most of the fish I've ever kept would jump right out of these tubs.

a strong skreen cover will work like the ones used on doors but watch thats its not the kind that will rust or that its to week to hold back a big fish

usually u dont really need covers on ponds cause fish dont really panic in ponds therefore they usualy dont jump. in extreme cases with arowanas or snakeheads u cud put netting on top.

I have used garden shade cloth hung from a hook over the center of the pool. Velco holds it to the inside edge of the pool and the drape prevents any fish from getting caught in a fold, the mesh is small and firm enough to keep most fin types from snagging, and is mildew resitant.. It is pretty easy to arrange it so that the mesh can be raised for viewing and access, it can even be joined to a plastic or stainless frame that can be pulled up with a single cord.

I have a 200 gallon indoor pond that is home to 25" ID, 22' Gloden Clown Knife and a 17" Imperial ID. I have three panels of glass for easy access. Yes it needs to be wiped down every few days but the extra work pays off for all the times I have heard the fish hit the glass. Glass is not cheap. It is the most expensive thing on my pond. Pexiglass does work but is not as clear as glass. Becareful with plastic, it can have chemicals that might harm your fish.

One thing comes to me that I forgot to mention, A 2" lip overhanging the inside of the pond prevents a large number of "escapes"
