How do you keep your tanks looking so nice?

I do a 25% WC every weekend as I suction the gravel. That's about it. How do you keep your tank looking so nice, because mine looks like crap. Murky water, green algae on gravel, and algae in scratches on the tank. I try to scrub it off but it isn't working. HELP ME!!!

I have a 90 gallon with emperor 400... I seriously only do w/c once a month other than replacing evaporated water.. I just clean deep when i do. Replace the media... And carbon carbon carbon. My tank is almost always crystal clear. Some brown Algee sometimes
