Right now I have 3 fh in my 100 gallon tank. 1 male and 2 female. The male is in the lundrey basket that I got from the dollar store. I put the male in there cause he was fighting with on the female fh. But the last week the female has been chilling with the male and doesn't want to leave his side. So today I took the male out and there they go again fighting till the female looks bad! But her breeding tube is showing a lot. What to do?

Please help cause I want a fh fry so bad.........

I hear that the male and female FH's fight before mating because the male has to make sure that the female is worth mating with. If the male feels the female is not worth it, the male will eventually kill it. On the other hand, if the male feels that they are a good match, the female will lay its eggs and the male will fertilize them. Of course that's just what i hear. I have a female FH, and i never tries mating her with a male. Hope this gives you some help. Good Luck on the mating :)
