I show you this because I care http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=240653

don't attempt it because it ends up being just a huge hastle. Unless you don't care about the money, time, and end result, just purchase a Back To Nature background, it's a bit, but by the time you buy all the cement, the foam, and in my case, the water softners, the ph test kits, the water hardness test kits, and the TIME. Oh the amount of time I spent trying to make this was unbelievable. I hate waiting. If you REALLY REALLY want to do this, you can do a test run on a cheap ten gallon tank, nothing fancy, see how you like it and then move on to the real thing.

PS. During summer, I plan to attempt this, http://www.aquariumlife.net/projects/diy-decoration/17.asp. When buying cement, make sure you buy Thorite cement because "supposedly" it doesn't leech pH. UGH I hate pH. That was really what was the problem with my trial, the cement wouldn't stop raising the pH.

Anyways gl.
