How do you move a 75gal forward by 2"?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Carefully :D

partially drain it, move fish into that water, finish draining, move forward, put fish and water in. Refill with new water. Thats what i did, but I'm kinda small, so to move it I have to sit, put my feet against the wall, and pull.

it all depends, if the tank it sitting in the floor u can push maybe with a 2x4 in the bottom or the middle of the stand with someone holding the top just so he can feal any unwanted movement from the tank, but since its really heavy i dout that

but if the tank its on top of carpet than you goin to have to drain it and then move the tank

Yup^^
Don't move it with water in it. Even if it is a couple inches, moving it with water could bust the seals,or you sould tip it over and have a huge problem.

Forget moving it by yourself. Full or empty. Imagine 75g of water collapsing on top of you? Even an empty tank is pretty heavy. i would drain it all the way and get 3-5 people and move it very slowly and at a consistent speed.

never slide with water in the tank or lift from top, these can cause tank crack or water leak. Safest way to do it is the drain the water, or leave a little water with fish in the tank, and then lift it from the bottom.

that's exactly what I did with one of my 75's to fit the same filter on the back of it.
