I need a way of weighing down the veggies I feed to my plecs, but I can't think of anything.. I know you can put in forks and stuff.. but I'm not a fan of this as it doesn't look very nice - sticks out like a sore eye!

I've seen someone else basically tie the veggies down with a plant weight. The metal strips. Anyone else use this? I need something that will not harm the plecs if they are trying to chew the veggie then come down to whatever is weighing the veg down.

Not a huge fan of tying veggies to rocks either because the fish I have in my tank will always fight for anything that I place in there like an ornament or rocks.
Also I don't blanche the veggies so they usually float...not good...

Rubber band and a small rock. Works great!

last time i did that i had two oscars threatening to break my tank because they were fighting over a rock... next thing i know they've somehow managed to push a weighed tank lid open and are both spraying me with water full on... sooooo noo that isnt gonna work lol. not while both of them are in there

I used the rubberband and rock too but I tied a piece of fishing line to it so I could just lower it and raise it up to add for food

I jam pieces of vegetable onto suction cups. Impale it on the clamp part that would normally hold the heater or whatever.

Have you tried a veggie clip? Or do the O's just yank it off?

lol tried that before and one of them thought it was food - tried to bite a chunk out of it, nothing happened but the one i bought soon lost the grip it had on the glass. hmm maybe i should try that again.
