Just like it says. How do you usually deal with a case of....OH CRAP my fish is listing this morning and bloating? Gotta be at work in 30 mins and time is beyond tight.

Epsom salt.Though ive never saved one but thats what i was told to do and do.Maybe ive always caught it too late.

Well a lil prune juice never hurt just kiding but I wonder if prunes would hurt fish if they ate it

LOL I dont know. I have lost 2 fish in the last year to bloat, and never have been able to beat it. I have tried all of the above methods, but nothing seems to work besides the net and shovel cure. I was just wondering if anyone else see's bloat as the kiss of death once you see it it is to late.

I've read that once the secondary symptoms are visible, e.g. the listlessness & bloating, that its usually too late at that point. I just lost one of my favorite african cichlids to bloat.

Bloat, the silent killer of the Aquaria. Once they float from bloat, get the net and shovel man, it is a fast killer.

The one I just lost hadn't been eating for a few days and started to breathe a little heavier than usual. I treated him with jungle parasite clear & Epsom salt. He continued to get worse even with the treatment and died 2 days after I started treating.
