I just picked up a 80 gallon with stand and It has a blue spray painted back ground. I would like to go with a black one. Whats the best and easiest way to remove it?

EHH thats what I was afraid of....

lol razorblade... the easier way is acetone that u can pick up at any drug store in the home section. put on some latex gloves though, acetone is thin enough to get into ur bloodstream through ur skin. and dont sniff it up close. common sense stuff.

takes 5 minutes or less. just put some on a paper towel and start rubbing.

Ohh come on it smells so good!! J/K

They have a tool that's an actual paint scrapper. Just set up a little different than a straight razor blade; better application of pressure. I painted my 150 and wasn't happy with the streaks, so I scraped it clean 2 days later. EASY!!

These are $3 at Home Depot or Lowe's, or Walmart. Good to have around.

Tanks everybody! I decided I'm going to go ahead and fix up the stand and paint it. Just wish I had a Canopy to match
