I have a few 10 gallons that I wanted to put to use as a sump for my 55 gallon. Thanks.

Or is it called a wet/dry filter?

Is your 55g acrylic.. Does it have holes drilled for an overflow?

10g is probably too small for a sump, your better off with a 30g rubbermaid.

if the tank is not drilled, which it probably isnt, then you can go with a external overflow box (uses siphon to gravity feed watere to main tank into sump)

youll also need a return pump (preferablly a submersible for a small system like yours)

i agree with miles its better to use a bigger tank like a rubbermaid tub for your sump/wet dry b/c you cant fill the sump all the way up (usually like half way) to account for bioballs and in case of power failure your sump wont overflow

lol what... overflows are like 60$ for a small one....

locl.. pm your e-mail i got a pic for you.. but when o post it it gets small
