head hump on males, but as far as the vent goes i have no idea. most male cichlids have a pointed vent. dont quote me on this though.
The only sure way is to get 2 TVs one on each side of the tank. Left side has a chick flick on right side has Diehard or any other good action movie on. It should be obvious from there.
