How do you sex Red Texas cichlids?

I've been looking everywhere for info on them and can't find much. Both of mine are 3" and have dropped something that looks breeding related. It curves towards the tail and is clear. Whats the best way to identify gender? Are they probably both males?

same as any other fh or new world, U shaped vent female V shaped male.

Any other way? I'd prefer not to take them out of the water and stress them out. Its also hard to catch a fish in a big planted aquarium.

Yes, they are both pointy and curved backwards. Does this mean male (and sterile)?

male red texas usually have the tube pointed back towards the anal fin like yours do, females will have a thicker tube that curves down and toward the front.

yes, male. but not necessarily sterile.
