How do you ship pleco?

Hi, I just use normal fish bags but you will need to double or even triple bag the Pleco depending on what kind and size you have because some have much worse spikes then others, just water and oxygen and they should survive up to 20 hours pending again on the size and type of pleco.

Breather bags (sold on AB) are a bag that doesn't need O2. These bags transfer O2 and CO2 through the lining. A great feature about these bags is that they self-seal from punctures.
Another method for shipping big plecos is to place them in a perforated rigis plastic container. My big panaque was shipped in a laundry hamper with a tote lid zip-tied to the top. All 3ft of him made it just fine with no punctures in the bags.

Check out the latest TFH for a great article on Kordon Breathing Bags.

my large pleco was brought to me in a 5 gal bucket with holes in the lid, and i have also recieved large fish in rubbermaid tubs also with holes in the lid. worked good seems safer than a bag for a spiney fish like a pleco.

never shipped fish only picked them up or had them dropped off but fed ex seems like a good choice, i have shipped non-living things through them and never had any problems

stay away from UPS. Please, for your own good, stay away.
