My loaches just got ich, and i dont want it to spread to my jardini.

Whats the fastest way to setup a q tank.

I have a 10 gallon with filter and heater.

how do i get this started correctly?

Ich affects the entire tank. Even thiugh your jar does not show signs it should be treated. Best treatment is a tablespoon of salt per 5 gallons of water, increase the temp to 85 degrees. This treatment should be kept up for three weeks, also a good idea to add an airstone to increase oxygen.

As for the QT tank. Get a small filter and run it on an established tank. When you need the QT tank just fill it add a heater and the filter.

is there a day by day routine to do.

water changes?
more salt?

everyone says to add salt and up the temp. but everyday do i add the salt?

You add the salt per the volume of your tank. You can do your regular water changes, just add salt for the amount of water you change.

This is why dissolving the salt and adding it slowly is very important if you have bottom dwellers. The main issue with salt on bottom dwellers is the salt grains can burn. Most people do not dissolve. They simply add the salt directly to the tank which is a big mistake.
