How do you take a tank apart???

So im trying to get a 29 apart to make panels for a sump. I got the trim off and the silicone around the edges but cant get the glass to come apart. Ive been using a razor and tried a heat gun but it just wont budge. How do you gys do it?

I used a really thin stong wire. it was an e string I think, that was extra from when my kids had a tot size electric guitar.

Ooooh i did not think of that. dont have wire but have 100 pound test fishing line thats thin or maybe a steel leader.

Guitar string works very well.. I also use a g string from a bass guitar set.

Only that?!!!I used 5 pound hammer to remove tow sides of a 20 gallon tank to replace them after being cracked

I use a razor blade and thin plastic wedges. I start at the weakest point and work from there.

I got it with 100 pound test fishing line. It cut the 30 pound steel leader. WTF? Oh well at least its apart. Now i got to cut the glass to fit the 45. What fun. A regular glass cutter work on that?
